Analog vs. Digital
Analog signals and digital signals are two different forms of signals which require different methods of interpretation and translation for viewing on a display screen. Video cards housed inside computers process analog digital signals and convert them to analog information for viewing upon the pc monitor. In LCD televisions, analog and digital signals can be translated and viewed. The latter signals are picked up with special tuners, interpreted, and presented on the wide screen display for viewing.
